"Big T's" Wish List
There are SO MANY ways that families and community friends can help out with this year's classroom. These lists are year-round, but will be tweaked as needed. Thank you for any extra support that you can give to help out! :-)
SuppliesPlease check this list throughout the year, as this list - of the three lists on this page - is the most prone for changes and updates.
-new or gently used 1.5" or 2" 3-ring binders (for those who may not be able to provide one) These will be used to create a Second Grade Scrapbook at the end of the school year. -packs of standard-issue, yellow lead pencils (NOT decorated ones, PLEASE!) Mr. Tutt has a class pencil sharing system, in which all pencils that are brought in the room are collected, and distributed throughout the school year. This ensures that everyone has access to pencils, and the lack of variety prevents fights and arguments. Questions? Click here to send Mr. Tutt an e-mail message. |
Volunteering at School-1-3 parents who can serve as "Homeroom Parents", whom I can contact for organizing the Halloween and Valentine parties, and other classroom needs (Sometimes on short notice.) However, I'll try not to bug Homeroom Parents too much! :-) -being able to bring treats, paper plates, napkins or table service as needed for occasional parties and special lunches -someone who can pick up pizzas from Little Caesars when we have pizza party lunches (about 2-3 times a year) This volunteer needs to be available between 11:15-11:45 a.m. with a week's notice. -I'd love a computer mentor! If anyone would be willing to come in during the year and teach me (and/or students) basics in Power Point, that would be awesome! (Yes, I desingned and created this entire website, but don't know to do the most basic of Power Point presentations!) Can you help? Click here to send Mr. Tutt an e-mail message. |
Volunteering at Home-people who can do projects at home, such as cutting papers, collating booklets, etc.
- 10-15 people who can cut a "+" into 10-15 tennis balls. These cut tennis balls will be on the bottoms of chairs and student furniture to minimize noise and scraping of the floor in the new classroom. Can you help? Click here to send Mr. Tutt an e-mail message. |
